Top 5 undrafted players in the NBA, No.4: Duncan Robinson, Miami Heat

Duncan Robinson, one of the greatest shooters in the NBA. Here’s the deal with Duncan, we know he can shoot. He’s great off the catch, excellent at coming off. screens, and the best pump fake in the league.

I like the underrated part of Duncan’s game, his passing off the pick and roll. He’s at around two assists a game which is nothing but the number of hockey assists and attention he requires by being such a lethal shooter is arguably more impactful than him making a 3.

I like to think of Duncan Robinson as JJ Redick 2.0. Look, JJ has played in the league for 14 seasons while being undersized and having an automatic jumper. Robinson has the jump shot with NBA size at 6-foot-7 with a wingspan of 7-foot-1.

If Robinson can become more than a liability on defense he’s going to have a very long career. He’s already shown that he can perform under pressure and make shots in big games, and for an undrafted player to be where he is on a team as talented as the Miami Heat, you’ve got to praise the Heat front office for seeing his value when others didn’t.
