Three trade targets for the Golden State Warriors that would help them solidify a playoff spot

No one really knew what to expect from the Golden State Warriors this season. Even less so after they lost Klay Thomson for the season before training camp. Nevertheless, roughly one-third of the way through the 2020-21 NBA season, the Warriors are fighting for a playoff spot and are within shouting distance of hosting a first-round playoff series.

On paper, there is plenty to like about the Warriors. Stephen Curry is averaging 30 points, six assists, and five rebounds on 49 percent shooting from the field and 43 percent shooting from 3-point range. Draymond Green is also healthy again, and the team acquired Kelly Oubre Jr. (via trade) and James Wiseman (via the draft) during the offseason.

Let’s also not forget about Andrew Wiggins, who has looked more comfortable with the team this season. The advanced stats say that if the Warriors could be a little more consistent on the offensive end, they’d be a surefire playoff team. The Warriors are a top 10 defensive team but have just the 19th ranked offense.

If in fact the Warriors a close to being a true threat in the Western Conference, we explore a few trade targets that could help them become a legit threat to not only make the playoffs but also potentially emerge as a dark horse threat once they get there.
