Golden State Warriors trade target: Aaron Gordon, Orlando Magic

Despite getting back a healthy Draymond Green this season and drafting James Wiseman with the second overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, the team could still use some help along the frontcourt. Adding a player such as Aaron Gordon would give the Warriors a little more flexibility while also being able to play Gordon at the 3 when the team would like to up-size.

In somewhat of a reduced role this season with the Orlando Magic, Gordon is averaging 14 points, seven rebounds, and four assists per game on 43 percent shooting from the field and 37 percent shooting from 3-point range. He’s quite athletic for his position and size and is still just 25 years of age.

Golden State could try and offer Andrew Wiggins, which would make some sense for Orlando (who is in the midst of a rebuild). Considering that Gordon only has one year remaining on his contract after this season, he may not be that costly of an addition to make.

If the Warriors go all-in on small, versatile, they could roll out a lineup of Curry, Oubre or Wiggins (depending on who they keep in a potential trade package), Damion Lee, Gordon, and Green.
