Big-name NBA trade candidates: Kyle Lowry

It’s no surprise to see Kyle Lowry on this list, especially if the Toronto Raptors continue to struggle to look like previous versions of themselves. The Raptors are likely still playoffs in with Lowry on the roster but I am not sure this team will have any potential to make a deep run in the playoffs.

Assuming that the Raptors have their eyes on a bigger prize than just another playoff berth, it wouldn’t be surprising for them to take calls on Lowrt heading into the NBA trade deadline. Whether they actually pull the trigger on a deal is an entirely different question. It would be wise for this team to see what the market is, at the very least.

If the team believes that there’s a high likelihood that he’s not going to re-sign during the offseason, or that the team doesn’t want to re-sign him during the offseason, it would be prudent for them to move him at the trade deadline. Will it happen, though?
