Big-name NBA trade candidates: Al Horford
Al Horford is a name that we haven’t heard from much this season, mostly because he’s now on a struggling Oklahoma City Thunder team, but could be an option for contenders looking for help in the frontcourt.
Specifically, in the month of February, Horford has been great for the Thunder. During this month, Horford is averaging 19 points, seven rebounds, and five assists per game on 48 percent shooting from the field and 40 percent shooting from 3-point range. If there’s any team looking for a veteran presence in the frontcourt that can also be statistically productive, there might not be a better option than Al Horford.
This is assuming that the Thunder would be open to moving the veteran big. Horford has two years remaining on his contract after this season, which will likely be the biggest hurdle that OKC would have to clear if they hope to trade him at the deadline.
