Andre Drummond trade destinations: Toronto Raptors

Out of all the teams on this list, the Toronto Raptors seem like the most likely destination for Drummond. Toronto has already reportedly engaged in talks with the Cavaliers over a trade for the glass eater, as the Raptors look to fill their void in the center position.

Drummond would be a much-needed improvement than Aron Baynes in the starting spot, as Baynes has struggled this season with the Raptors. The loss of Serge Ibaka and Marc Gasol has hit the team, and while Chris Boucher is having a much improved season for the team, the Raptors have a void in the position.

Drummond would add some help in the paint, with the ability to post up and outmuscle defenders. He would also aid the Raptors with their woeful rebounding numbers, with the team averaging just 42 rebounds per game, good for the worst rebounding numbers in the league alongside the Miami Heat.

The issue, like most of this list, with getting Drummond to the Raptors would be cap space. The only contract the Raptors seem to have that would match Drummond’s salary in a trade is six-time All-Star Kyle Lowry.

While Lowry’s name has been mentioned amongst trade rumors, trading the point guard for Drummond would be a negative move for the Raptors and would not help the team, plus Lowry has become beloved by Raptors fans.

It may be a struggle to get him to Toronto, but it is unquestionable that Drummond would really help fill the void in the frontcourt for a Raptors team that has struggled this season.
