Andre Drummond trade destinations: Los Angeles Lakers
It seems the Los Angeles Lakers are in all the trade talks and rumors, however, this move for Andre Drummond is one that makes sense. After losing JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard, the Lakers have lost some depth at the center position despite acquiring Montrezl Harrell.
Added to that, the recent injury to Anthony Davis will see the big man sitting on the sidelines for at least two-three weeks. This could lead to the Lakers looking at Andre Drummond as a potential fill-in while Davis sits, and playing him alongside the superstar once he returns to the team.
A frontcourt comprising of both Drummond and Davis would give opposing frontcourts nightmares, as both players can smother players in the paint and rebound well. While they play different forms of offense, it is not impossible for Frank Vogel to get the pair to work well side-by-side.
While a trade would be almost impossible for the Lakers to figure out, expect the team to be one of the first to contact Drummond if the big man and the Cavaliers agree on a buyout. If they only acquire his services for half a year, Drummond would be a helpful contributor to have alongside LeBron James and Davis as they hope to repeat.
