NBA All-Star Honorable Mentions and Reserves
While not every player gets to own a spot in their respective conference’s starting 5, they do have chances at making the reserves, which comprises an additional two guards, three forwards, and two wild card players for both the East and West.
This group is sure to include the aforementioned Harden, Brown, and Lillard, but there are a number of players just as deserving. Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, Utah Jazz duo Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell, Chicago’s Zach LaVine, and LA’s Anthony Davis are surefire locks to make the list of reserves.
Ja Morant, Trae Young, Jimmy Butler, Paul George, Ben Simmons, Devin Booker, Domantas Sabonis, and Zion Williamson among others are sensible picks to slot in with the rest of this year’s All-Stars, and with no shortage of talent and fantastic play, NBA All-Star 2021 is sure to impress regardless of the roster’s composition.
The definitive list of this year’s All-Star reserves will be announced on February 23rd, and later the All-Star draft will be held on March 4th, with captains LeBron James and Kevin Durant selecting their starters and reserves for their respective teams.
