Teams that need to make a move at the NBA Trade Deadline: Dallas Mavericks
If we were to play the odd game of “if the season were to end today,” the Dallas Mavericks would not be a playoff team in the Western Conference. With as much talent as this team has at the top of this roster, this season would be a disappointment if it doesn’t end with at least a run to the second round of the playoffs.
Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis need a third option that could help give some insurance to their stars and added help to their offensive attack. If Dallas expects to make a strong push in the second half of the season, they might need to make a significant move at the NBA Trade Deadline.
If Dallas can find a way to add a strong third option while maintaining flexibility heading into the offseason, they’d be in a good position heading into the playoffs. I’d be interested to see how Victor Oladipo would be next to Doncic and Porzingis. Could they make it happen?
