Teams that should target DeMarcus Cousins: Los Angeles Lakers

While a member of the Los Angeles Lakers squad during the majority of last season before being let go by the team, Cousins never got a chance to take to the court wearing the purple and gold due to a season-ending injury.

The prospect of seeing Cousins find his groove alongside superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis was quashed due to his injury, however, the Lakers should not let the failed experiment from last season deter them from giving the injury-prone big man another crack.

The loss of Dwight Howard and JaVale McGee has affected the Lakers in the big man slot, and while Marc Gasol is a decent player, DeMarcus Cousins would be a step up over the aging Gasol and only strengthen the frontcourt for the Lakers.

A duo of Cousins and Davis was deadly in New Orleans for a short period, and while Cousins certainly is not at that level anymore, he can still provide some good offensive plays for the team as either a starting center or an asset coming off the bench.
