5 big questions heading into the NBA’s All-Star break.

The NBA’s makeshift All-Star break is here and we are roughly halfway through the 2020-21 season. In a season unlike any other, there are plenty of storylines that have begun to play out through the first 30-sum odd games. Though, there are still some questions left unanswered heading into the second half of the season.

We explore 5 big questions as we enter the NBA All-Star break.

How will the Los Angeles Lakers ensure health heading into the playoffs?

There are two things we know about the Los Angeles Lakers this season. First, when healthy, this team might be head and shoulders above the rest of the league. Certainly above any team in the Western Conference (no offense, Utah Jazz). Second, when the Lakers aren’t healthy, they’re not a great team and might not even be a championship contender.

Specifically, when Anthony Davis or LeBron James isn’t healthy. Since Davis has been sidelined with his recent injury, the Lakers are 3-7 (counting the game in which he exited early). There might not be a team that could use the All-Star break more than the Lakers right now.

If the Lakers are going to win another championship this season, or even compete for one at a high level, they’re going to need a healthy team heading into the playoffs. How will they ensure that in the second half of the season?

Will we see more days off for both Anthony Davis (when he returns) and LeBron James? It’s certainly something to keep in mind over the next few weeks.
