Teams to watch in the second half of the NBA season: Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks are certainly a team to keep an eye on heading into the second half of the season. They ended the first half with an 18-16 record and are sitting in eighth place of the Western Conference.

Don’t get it twisted, even though the Mavericks won three games in a row heading into the break, and eight of the last 10 overall, this is a team that has been a huge disappointment to start the season.

Dallas is absolutely a team that should be kept an eye on in the Western Conference, however. As long as Luka Doncic is healthy, the Mavs are going to be a dangerous threat in the playoffs (assuming that they get there). The Mavs should be able to make their way up the standings in the second half of the season and don’t be surprised if they’re sitting in the fifth slot by the end of the year.
