Teams to watch in the second half of the NBA season: Miami Heat

The Miami Heat are the defending Eastern Conference champions but didn’t look that way for much of the first half of the season. While they did recover towards the latter portion of their schedule entering the break, the Heat is still just 18-18 and are sitting in the sixth spot of the Eastern Conference.

The good news is that the Heat is only one game out of the fourth seed in the East and four games out of the third seed. I’m not sure if Miami will be able to make it into the top three of the conference by the end of the year, but there’s a good chance that they could potentially host a first-round playoff series.

Even more so if this team elects to make a move at the NBA Trade Deadline. Assuming health, the Miami Heat should be a threat in the second half of the season in the East. With the second-easiest schedule remaining, Miami should be able to take advantage in the second half of the season.
