Teams to watch in the second half of the NBA season: Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets weren’t exactly playing terrible basketball heading into the All-Star break, but there was plenty of room for this team to improve. Especially on the defensive end. What’s interesting about the Nuggets is that we know this team has the elite talent to be successful in the playoffs. They simply haven’t played their best basketball of the season just yet.

Denver has the assets to make a big trade and it’ll be interesting to see if they elect to do so heading into the trade deadline. That’s perhaps the most interesting aspect of this team heading into the playoff push.

Denver is only 2.5 games out of the third seed and one hot streak could see this team hosting a first-round playoff series. If Nikola Jokic continues to play at a high level, there’s no question we could see the Nuggets make a move up the West standings.
