NBA Trade Rumors: The Orlando Magic are ready to shake up their roster?
After making the playoffs in back-to-back seasons for the first time in nearly eight years, the Orlando Magic appear back at the starting line. Orlando has the second-worst record in the Eastern Conference and is quickly falling out of shouting distance of the eighth and final playoff spot.
Heading into the NBA Trade Deadline, you can’t help but wonder how the Magic will approach this year. According to a recent report, there’s a growing sense that Orlando is finally ready to embrace the seller role and that a number of their veterans could be available.

"the Magic appear more willing than ever to engage in trade talks, according to league personnel polled by Bleacher Report. “They’re claiming they’re ready to swap it up,” one Western Conference official said. “They know what they have doesn’t move the needle.”"
If this report is indeed true, and it would make sense considering the team’s record and where they are as a franchise, Orlando could very well be the key to the trade deadline. Or, at the very least, could play a vital role in getting the festivities started.
Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic could be two players that demand the biggest market in this year’s trade deadline. Orlando could probably get some nice assets in return for both of those players, and the team’s asking price on either of those players should be high.
The big question is whether there’s any team that is willing to go all-in on any one of these players to meet the expected high asking price that the Magic would have.
If the Orlando Magic are indeed ready and willing to hit the reset button, there should be several contenders that are calling them to gauge their asking price on some of their more valuable veterans. It will be costly, but Gordon and Vucevic could be two of the better players that are move at this year’s trade deadline.
Is this just trade deadline smoke, or is this something more substantial than that?
