John Collins to the Celtics

The Boston Celtics are equipped with a mightily talented roster but need to solidify their power forward/center position. The team believed that they were doing that when they signed Tristan Thompson during the offseason, but that move hasn’t worked out as both sides hoped it would.

Boston adding John Collins to this already talented core would immediately catapult them to the top of the Eastern Conference and give this team a bit more excitement. The big issue here is whether or not they’d be able to find a third team to take on Kemba Walker.

Then, of course, there’s the whole: “would Danny Ainge even offer the Atlanta Hawks a fair return for Collins?”

A trio of Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and John Collins would be one of the most interesting trios in the Eastern Conference.
