Kyle Lowry to the 76ers

Even though noise surrounding a potential Kyle Lowry trade has quieted down significantly over the last couple of weeks, I can’t stop thinking about how great of a fit that he would be on the Philadelphia 76ers. He’s an expiring contract and will likely join a contender during the offseason, but the Sixers could use him this year.

Lowry, even as a soon-to-be 35-year-old, is playing at a high level while averaging 16 points, eight assists, and six rebounds per game with the Toronto Raptors this season. He’d be a great fit next to Joel Embiid and would help take some of the pressure off Ben Simmons in the backcourt.

Lowry could be a missing piece for the Sixers team that is sitting atop the Eastern Conference at the moment. And with Embiid’s recent injury, he could help keep Philadelphia afloat until the playoffs.
