30. Utah Jazz – Jared Butler, G, Baylor
The Utah Jazz has consistently been the best team in the NBA this season and has no big needs heading into the 2021 NBA Draft. Though, they should try to get some insurance in the event that Mike Conley is not re-signed during the offseason (he’s an unrestricted free agent).
Butler is the leading-scorer for a really good Baylor team and could see his draft stock rise if he can lead them on a historic run during the NCAA Tournament. Butler is averaging 17 points and five assists per game on 48 percent shooting from the field and 41 percent shooting from 3-point range.
Butler is experienced and is a bit older than some of the other high-ceiling prospects in this draft class, but that could work in his favor as he makes the transition to the NBA level. Whether teams see it that way is the big question, however.
