Marquee NBA players most likely to be traded: Lonzo Ball, New Orleans Pelicans

There are several teams who have a dire need for a point guard and Lonzo Ball would be a welcomed addition to any team in need of a floor general. While he has played well over the course of the season, it is yet to be determined whether Ball remains a key player for the New Orleans Pelicans’ young core moving forward but the Pelicans don’t want to lose him in free agency either.

There have been rumors about a possible return to Los Angeles for Ball but this time it would be as a member of the LA Clippers. Ball joining the Clippers could be one that could turn the tide in the Western Conference as the Clippers are currently in fourth place and only four games back out of first place.

With a good core already established, the point guard position is the Clippers’ only weakness on their talented roster and Ball would fit right in with superstars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Ball is a pass-first, team-oriented player who can put Leonard and George in a position to score and run the Clippers’ offense more efficiently.

Hopefully, if the Clippers can pull off a trade, Ball will be the missing piece that can put them over the top.
