Outlining eight NBA Trade Deadline deals that should happen this week.

With the NBA trade deadline less than 48 hours away, let’s take a look at some trades that would help all teams involved. We begin with the Sacramento Kings and New York Knicks making a swap.

Harrison Barnes is moved

Kings send: Harrison Barnes, Nemanja Bjelica

Knicks send: Kevin Knox, Frank Ntilikina, Austin Rivers, 2021 1st round pick (via Dallas), 2023 1st round pick (via Dallas)

The hiring of Tom Thibodeau has naturally lead to a bit of organizational tension between winning now and staying the course. In this deal, the Knicks pick up a veteran who will help the team’s playoff push in Harrison Barnes, without mortgaging the future.

This year’s Dallas pick isn’t nearly as juicy as it once seemed now that the Mavericks have righted the ship. Meanwhile, Sacramento receives the “Robert Covington package” (two first-round picks), as well as a couple of young guys they could take a look at.
