Heat get Victor Oladipo

Heat get: Victor Oladipo

Rockets get: Kelly Olynyk, Avery Bradley, 2022 draft pick swap

The fact that the Miami Heat came away with Victor Oladipo without having to part ways with Kendrick Nunn, Duncan Robinson, or Tyler Herro is an absolutely excellent job of negotiating from Pat Riley. The Rockets, on the other hand, took a big “L.”

The hope is that Oladipo will be able to resurrect his career in Miami and that some of their culture will rub off on Dipo. Houston had to get what they could in exchange for Oladipo, considering he was likely moving on during the offseason in free agency.

The Heat is a big winner at the NBA Trade Deadline and after it became clear that the Toronto Raptors were not going to accept their offer, they quickly pivoted to Oladipo. Great work by that front office.
