Celtics add Evan Fournier on the wing

Celtics get: Evan Fournier

Magic get: two second-round picks

Even though Evan Fournier may not be as big of a name as some of the other players on this list, this is certainly a big move for the Boston Celtics. Boston gets help on the wing, which they were looking for, and a player that will help take some of the offensive load off of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

As for the Magic, I suppose getting anything in exchange for Fournier at the trade deadline – he’s a free agent after the season – was a goal. Two second-round picks are not a great return, and you can’t help but wonder how there were no other better offers out there.

That said, on a busy day for the Magic, it’s pretty clear that they were looking to get what they could get and move on to other moves.
