NBA Trade Deadline winner No. 3: Chicago Bulls

Thank the Lord for the Bulls. We needed a genuine blockbuster to make today feel that much better. And a surprise one at that. The Bulls sent out Wendell Carter Jr., Otto Porter Jr., and two first-rounders in return for star big man Nikola Vucevic and Al-Farouq Aminu.

Vooch is free from Orlando baybee! And yeah, maybe I was hoping he would get moved somewhere a little bit closer to contending, but at least he finally has a dynamic guard to run the pick-and-roll with!

Zach LaVine and Vooch should be a highly entertaining pair for the next couple of seasons. Coby White and Patrick Williams infuse the team with youth and energy. Veterans like Thad Young and Tomas Satoransky to round it out. I really like their roster. I wish they had been able to make a play for one more impact player, like Lonzo Ball. Still feels like they don’t have the right backcourt mate for Lavine, and they’ll be a third-tier team until then. Still fun, though!
