After the Denver Nuggets bigger title contenders than last season?

The Denver Nuggets are such a weird team and in the best ways. Their star player is the goofy Nikola Jokic, who makes plays (as a center no less) like he has eyes in the back of his head and is considered a frontrunner for the MVP award.

Their gunner is Jamal Murray, a Canadian assassin who has the ability to go off for 50 on any given night. And their x-factor is Michael Porter Jr., a gangly wing who has all the offensive tools in the world, and a significant learning curve to go on the other end.

Put all this together and you have a formidable squad. However, they are in the Western Conference. An annual bloodbath in which your reward for making it past the first round of the playoffs is almost assuredly another title contender.

But the Nuggets are in it to win it. They made some serious noise at the trade deadline, enough to make us ask: Are the Nuggets title contenders?
