20. Memphis Grizzlies – Chris Duarte, G, Oregon
The Memphis Grizzlies certainly have a bright future and that could get even brighter with an addition such as Chris Duarte, a big guard out of Oregon. The big knock on Duarte is that he’s an older prospect and could have a limited ceiling in the NBA because of that.
Nevertheless, Duarte averaged 17 points and five rebounds on 42 percent shooting from 3-point range during his senior season at Oregon. He’s also a good defender and could be a versatile one at the next level because of his great size.
Duarte is such a Grizzlies player and would fit with where this team is headed. If Memphis is fine with drafted an older prospect, there’s no reason why such a pairing wouldn’t work.
