5. Golden State Warriors (via Minnesota) – James Bouknight, G, UCONN

It’s tough to predict what the Golden State Warriors will elect to do if they land a top 5 pick in this draft, but they do need help in the backcourt. One potential player that they could target is James Bouknight, a 6-foot-5 guard out of Connecticut.

Bouknight averaged 19 points and six rebounds during his sophomore season at Connecticut. He is an offensive weapon that would be welcomed onto the Warriors roster and could work as a super sixth-man off the bench during his rookie season.

He still has work to do on both ends of the floor if he hopes to become a day-to-day starter at the NBA level, but what better place for him to be groomed than behind Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson?
