8. Toronto Raptors – Davion Mitchell, G, Baylor

With the high likelihood that the Toronto Raptors will lose Kyle Lowry in free agency this offseason, it wouldn’t be surprising for the team to address the backcourt depth in the 2021 NBA draft.

One potential fit for the Raptors is Davion Mitchell, a 6-foot-2 junior out of Baylor who is quickly rising of draft boards after his performance in the NCAA Tournament.

During his junior season at Baylor, Mitchell average 14 points and six assists per game on nearly 45 percent shooting from 3-point range. He’s a good defender which fits right in with what the Raptors look for in prospects and an overall good offensive player – a good scorer and playmaker.

He’d be a good fit next to Fred VanVleet and has enough college experience where Toronto wouldn’t be afraid to throw him in the fire immediately.
