NBA: Predicting the final playoff seeding in the Western Conference

7. Portland Trail Blazers

The Portland Trail Blazers are sitting in the sixth seed of the West and while I believe that they could cause some problems, depending on the first-round matchup, this is a team that I predict will fall a spot heading into the postseason. And depending on how the exact standings fall, could end up in a play-in game.

Though, if they do, I’m not afraid of this team – we all saw how they caught fire and played their way into the playoffs last season. And with Damian Lillard, anything is possible in a small-sample size series.

It’ll be interesting to see who this team matchups up with in the playoffs and if they match up with the Phoenix Suns, we could be in for one heck of a series. There are certain teams where they could cause some serious problems against, while some other matchups that don’t favor them in any way.
