6. Dallas Mavericks

On a day-to-day basis, I’m not exactly sure what Dallas Mavericks team we’re going to get. Nevertheless, the hope is that by the end of the season this team will begin to look more like the team that nearly shocked the LA Clippers in the first round of the playoffs last season rather than the one that limped out of the gates this season.

The Mavs have won six of their last nine games and might be turning the corner and are playing better as a unit. They also have the second-easiest remaining schedule in the NBA and will have a good chance to close the season on a good note.

If they could avoid the LA Clippers in a potential first-round series, there’s a chance that the Mavs could pull off an upset in the opening round. Though, they’ll need to be healthy and clicking on all cylinders for that to even be a possibility.
