2014-15- The first Curry MVP

Steph Curry, it was fun, he jumped up a level from the season before, and Golden State was the best team. All good things that go towards Steph’s case for MVP. When you compare the numbers, they’re close (Steph and James that is) but James’s numbers are better.

He averaged a little over three more points a game, about two rebounds more, and one assist less than Steph. Golden State was the more talented team, and finished as the 1-seed. Houston finished as the second seed, with a far less talented team. Steph and James are the battery in which fuels their respective teams success. If James has a bad game then the Houston Rockets‘ chances to win are almost nullified, same with Steph.

When you look at the standings from that season, the Warriors being the top seed isn’t as surprising as it is that Houston took that team to the second seed. I feel James should be rewarded for that, especially since he has the stats to back it up.

So that’s one MVP, lets keep going.
