Three reasons why I believe the Philadelphia 76ers will win the East this season.

During the offseason, after another disappointing show in the playoffs last year, the Philadelphia 76ers made some major changes. They hired Doc Rivers as their next head coach and brought in Daryl Morey to help run their basketball operations.

They also added Seth Curry, Danny Green, Dwight Howard, and Tyrese Maxey to help solidify a roster that many thought should find more success than the team had been in the playoffs over the last two seasons.

Still, after such moves, there were still some unbelievers in the Sixers. After all, the last time we saw this team playing meaningful basketball they were walking off the court after being swept by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs.

Nevertheless, the new-look Sixers were hoping that the 2020-21 campaign was going to be the start of a new era for the franchise. At least through the regular season, their play has backed up their bold offseason moves.

In fact, I would go on a limb to say that this team could be the favorites to come out of the Eastern Conference. They’re sitting atop the conference in the standings and love the way they’re playing heading into the postseason.

I want the record to show that I have bought in on the Philadelphia 76ers and am all-in on this team as they prepare for a potentially historic playoff run. Here are three reasons why I believe the Sixers will win the East.
