NBA first-round playoff matchups we need to root for: Celtics vs. Nets

The Brooklyn Nets have to be considered one of the most-hyped teams heading into the playoffs in recent history, likely since the Miami Heat’s big three that featured LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh.

The Nets have a historic and dynamic trio in Kevin Durant, Jame Harden, and Kyrie Irving and many expect this team to cruise through the Eastern Conference if they can remain healthy. And what better way for the Nets to begin their playoff run than against one of the more dangerous lower-seeded teams in the conference.

The Boston Celtics have had their ups and downs this season but are still considered to have one of the deepest and most talented rosters in the East. They have a budding superstar in Jayson Tatum, too, which could help balance the scales in a potential series.

This first-round series would have big-time franchises, big names, and even the outside chance at a potential upset. What more could you ask for?
