In the latest edition of our NBA Power Rankings, the Boston Celtics and LA Clippers are getting hot at the right time.

Most teams have between 15-18 games remaining in their regular-season slate. The NBA Playoffs are right around the corner and the push for the playoffs is officially here.

Two teams that have begun to hit their stride recently are the Boston Celtics and LA Clippers. As the playoffs quickly approach, they’re two teams that could emerge as dark horse candidates to win their respective conferences and potentially meet in the NBA Finals.

As those two teams rise in our NBA Power Rankings, we explore other trends to keep an eye on as the end of the regular season draws near.

30. Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets are struggling mightily and are the worst team in the NBA right now. They’re on pace to finish with the worst record in the league and will likely have a top 3 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. The hope is that they’ll be able to land a franchise-changing player with this pick and they’ll need one heading into next season.

Houston has some solid building blocks on the roster but there’s no question this has been a season to forget for the Rockets overall.
