18. New Orleans Pelicans

Over the past two seasons, I don’t think there’s been a more disappointing team than the New Orleans Pelicans. They have strong talent in Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, and Lonzo Ball, but still can’t figure out how to put it all together and translate that talent into on-the-court success.

The Pelicans are out of the top 8 in the Western Conference and are fighting for a spot in the play-in tournament. They will likely fall short of that and will head into the offseason after another disappointing year.

Additions will need to be made and this team has to make a decision on whether or not they’re going to re-sign Lonzo Ball. Maybe it will just all begin to click in the second year under Stan Van Gundy?
