3. Brooklyn Nets

Even though the unexpected loss of LaMarcus Aldridge will hurt this team’s depth, locker room, and possibly their overall morale, I still believe the Brooklyn Nets should be considered a true threat to win the East heading into the playoffs.

I may not buy it entirely (more on that later) but this team’s talent is nothing something that can be questioned. They have the strongest big three in the NBA this season and have the ability to score whenever and however they want.

The big question for this team revolves around the other end of the floor. Can the Nets play enough defense to win it all?

Also, and apart from everything, can this team remain healthy? Because it’s not something they’ve been able to do at any point this season.
