Why Nikola Jokic should win the NBA MVP: His Durability

Unlike some of the other candidates for the NBA MVP award, Nikola Jokic has been extremely durable this season for the Denver Nuggets. Jokic has played in every game this season for the Nuggets and has been the team’s most productive player while doing so.

Embiid has missed 18 games, LeBron James has missed 16 (and counting), and Giannis Antetokounmpo has missed nine games. The fact that Jokic hasn’t even missed one game this season is pretty insane and absolutely impressive.

To win the NBA’s most prestigious award, you have to think that availability has to count for something. Jokic has played in every game this season and has not missed a beat in doing so. Considering that the Nuggets made a deep playoff run in the league’s restart bubbe and that the league had a shortened offseason, this feat becomes even more impressive for a big man.
