8. Orlando Magic (via Chicago) – Keon Johnson, G, Tennessee
Keon Johnson is a highlight waiting to happen when he’s on the basketball court. He has the athleticism of a Vince Carter and at 6-foot-5, that’s my really impressive.
Overall, the Tennessee Volunteers left much to be desired in the NCAA tournament but Johnson was a bright spot for the team this past season.
He might’ve only averaged 11 points in for rebounds per game, but he’s the type of player that can change the game on at any moment. He needs to work on his outside shot and hopefully, that will come with the experience and with NBA coaching.
For a team like Orlando, which is just beginning the rebuild, they shouldn’t have any concerns by drafting Johnson late in the top 10.
