18. Boston Celtics – Alperen Sengun, C, Turkey

After another disappointing season in which the Boston Celtics failed to solidify their frontcourt, it wouldn’t be surprising for this team to address the depth at the position in the 2021 NBA Draft. One potential fit could be Alperen Sengun, a center out of Turkey.

Considering that, at this point in his development, Sengun is more of a traditional offensive big, it’ll be interesting to see how NBA scouts view him. If teams are hopeful that they can develop his offensive game, there’s a chance he can be a lottery pick. That’s no guarantee, however.

At least for a team like the Celtics, he’s worth a gamble and is a prospect that they can throw into their development system and hopefully this selection will pay dividends down the line.
