20. Los Angeles Lakers – Usman Garuba, F, Spain

If the Los Angeles Lakers fail to win a championship this season, there’s going to be a lot of finger-pointing and self-reflecting heading into the offseason. However, in the NBA Draft, expect this team to address the frontcourt.

One potential intriguing fit for the Lakers is Usman Garuba. Garuba is considered one of the best defenders in this draft and has a great motor for a 6-foot-8 forward. He is still extremely raw on the offensive end and needs to continue to fine-tune the small details in his game.

It’s not really known at the moment where Garuba will be drafted, but taking a shot on him with a late first-round pick wouldn’t be a bad idea for the Lakers.
