NBA Mock Draft 4.0: Bulls, Magic jump into top 3; Cade Cunningham falls
3. Minnesota Timberwolves – Evan Mobley, F, USC
The Minnesota Timberwolves have been one of the most disappointing teams over the last two seasons in the Western Conference. At No. 3, they are taking the player with the highest ceiling in this draft. Evan Mobley is a player that you take betting on his long-term potential.
Mobley is a player that you could stick next to Karl-Anthony Towns in hopes that he progresses into what many believe he can be. Mobley has shown the ability to do a little bit of everything on the floor and has the capability to be one of the best two-way players in the NBA once he grows into his potential.
I’m not exactly sure what Mobley will be in the NBA next season, but there’s no question that he’ll be able to help initially on the defensive end of the floor and his athleticism is something that will make him a threat offensively on a consistent basis right away.
