3 reasons why the Boston Celtics should be optimistic about their future.

Looking back at the 2020-21 NBA campaign, short of an unlikely deep playoff run, it will be remembered as a “lost” season for the Boston Celtics.

After falling two wins short of making the NBA Finals last season, many believed that the Celtics were one player or two from being a true contender in the Eastern Conference this year. However, that didn’t end up being the case.

The acquisition of Tristan Thompson didn’t seem to work out and adding Evan Fournier at the NBA Trade Deadline didn’t move the needle enough for Boston during the last third of the season. Now that Jaylen Brown is set to miss the remainder of the season after injuring his wrist, the writing is on the wall for this season.

Even though this season is likely to end in the first round of the playoffs for the Celtics, not all is lost for this team moving forward. Despite a lost season, we explore three reasons why there should be optimism for this team heading into the offseason and next season.
