Why the Boston Celtics should feel optimistic about the future: Brad Stevens and Danny Ainge

Outside noise aside, the Celtics have one of the best head coaches in the league (Brad Stevens) and one of the best general managers in the game (Danny Ainge). If there are any two in the league that can figure out how to bounce back from this lost season, it’s these two.

Couple that with the immense talent that this team has on its roster and you can see why many believe that the Celtics are in a position to contend in the East for the next decade. That said, that doesn’t mean that Ainge won’t have his work cut out for him this offseason.

Ainge needs to figure out how to get another complimentary player next to Tatum and Brown, one that will effectively work as their third star – Kemba Walker has struggled to fill that role during his two seasons with the team.

Either way, I expect Ainge to figure it out this offseason.
