New York Knicks playoff expectations: Bring some magic back to magic back to Madison Square Garden

Ah, The Mecca. It’s not actually regarded by this generation as The Mecca of basketball, but that’s what many believed and grew up with. However, Madison Square Garden hasn’t been The Mecca in decades. Here’s hoping that the Knicks will begin to change that this postseason.

Question is, what will it take for that to happen? Well, it’s actually not as complicated as you’d think. All the Knicks really need to do is have one or two playoff moments on their home floor. Perhaps it’s a scoring explosion from one of their two stars, a comeback win, or even a game-winning shot that would send shockwaves across the playoffs.

I don’t think anyone would argue that the NBA is simply in a better place when the Knicks are good. And when the Knicks are good, Madison Square Garden matters. We need to get back to that place. The first part of that hypothetical has already come to fruition. How about the second?
