NBA players that could catch fire in the playoffs: Landry Shamet, Brooklyn Nets

Even though the focus will mainly be on the trio of Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving and how they perform, the Brooklyn Nets have other complementary players who are capable of stepping up whenever needed and one of those players is Landry Shamet.

Shamet plays a decent amount of minutes; just enough to be effective and can score double-digit points if he finds his stroke. On the season he averaged 9.1 points per game, is an 84 percent free-throw shooter all while shooting 38 percent from behind the arc. Shamet also has valuable playoff experience when he was a member of the Clippers the past two seasons.

Shamet can be the secret weapon the Nets can deploy against opponents as he is very effective coming off of pick-and-rolls, screens, and shooting off of dribble handoffs, is an excellent spot-up shooter, and moves well off the ball.

If he gets hot, he is capable of dropping 30 points or more as he did against the Miami Heat a few weeks ago when he shot better than Irving and picked up the slack after Durant left the game after only playing four minutes.
