NBA Draft prospect: Evan Mobley, USC

There might not be a draft prospect in this class that has risen more over the last couple of months than Evan Mobley. Though, when you watch him on the basketball court, especially during his freshman season at USC, it’s easy to see why.

Mobley is a 7-footer that has the potential to be an elite defender right away in the NBA. The big question regarding Mobley falls on his offensive consistency. To truly be a star in the NBA, you have to be able to be a difference-maker on both ends of the floor. Mobley needs to get there.

In the era of versatile bigs rising and becoming essential to successful teams in the NBA, I’d have to believe that Mobley is the very definition of the ideal prospect in the modern NBA. If he can simply figure out just how good of an offensive player he has the potential to be, there’s a chance he becomes the best player from this draft class.
