NBA Draft prospect: Jalen Green, G League

It’s tough to gauge where exactly Jalen Green stacks up in this draft class considering he decided to play in the G League over playing college basketball. Nevertheless, he’s still projected to be a top 5 pick and you can’t help but wonder if he’d be ranked higher had he decided to play college basketball.

It’s Green’s explosiveness that jumps off the screen when you watch his highlights. He’s a 6-foot-6 elite athlete that showed the ability to fill it up on the offensive end – he averaged 18 points on 46 percent shooting during his lone season in the G League.

Green has one of the highest ceilings in this draft class and was likely hurt by not playing college basketball. He’s a player that could rise in pre-draft workouts, but I just don’t know if he will be able to jump Mobley or Suggs at the end of the day.
