NBA Draft prospect: Jonathan Kuminga, G League

Jonathan Kuminga is another player that elected to play in the G League over college basketball. He has great size which will give him the potential to be a versatile and elite defender in the NBA. His offense is still rough and will need some polishing.

Kuminga is far from a finished product but would be a risky pick if selected inside the top 5. You’re betting on his potential more than what he’ll be able to contribute a team during his rookie (and even a sophomore) season.

Even though I wouldn’t doubt or be surprised if Kuminga becomes a quality player at the NBA level, I simply can’t envision him being one of the “stars” that come out of this draft class. That doesn’t mean he won’t be a really good player, however.
