NBA Draft prospect: Davion Mitchell, Baylor

After helping lead the Baylor Bears to a National Championship this past season, Davion Mitchell is now expected to be a top 10 pick. At the very least, he should be selected in the lottery. At 6-foot-2, Mitchell is a combo guard that has the potential to be a strong offensive player at the next level.

He averaged 14 points and six assists per game on 51 percent shooting from the field overall and 45 percent shooting from 3-point range. He was an efficient scorer, but still needs to prove he can be an efficient playmaker – he averaged more than two turnovers per game.

Mitchell is an interesting prospect considering he’s the highest-ranked non-freshman coming out of college. He’ll be 23 years old by the time his rookie season begins in the NBA and you can’t help but wonder how much that will factor during the pre-draft process.

Star potential: Sell
