3 players that must step up for the Golden State Warriors in the Play-In Tournament.

The season is not over just yet for the Golden State Warriors. When things looked slim through part of the season, the relentlessness of Stephen Curry placed Golden State in a position to play in the play-in tournament.

As the Warriors defeated the Memphis Grizzlies in the final regular-season game, they clinched the 8th seed, which allows them to match up with the Los Angeles Lakers play-in tournament.

The winner is secured a spot in the playoffs. The loser will have to beat the winner of a 9-10 seed matchup to qualify as the final playoff team in the Western Conference.

Golden State has been on a rollercoaster ride for the majority of the season. It all began in mid-November when Klay Thompson ruptured his Achilles, setting back his chances to reunite with his team. Despite Thompson being sidelined again, the return of Curry still gave the Warriors chances to clinch a top seed in the West.

The Warriors also made a trade for Kelly Oubre Jr. as well, pairing him in the starting lineup next to Curry and Draymond Green.

Despite Curry’s MVP-caliber season, the Warriors struggled to find a consistent rhythm. There have been lineup changes that have occurred, which has their chemistry tied up in a knot. Golden State has still shown signs of resilience despite their abnormal seasons.

They seem to thrive as a collective when the pressure is higher. As they faced off against Los Angeles tonight, here are a few players whose contribution will impact the team.
