Jayson Tatum was a superhero against the Wizards

As much as the Wizards didn’t help themselves defensively against the Celtics, specifically Tatum, he was on another level than everyone on the floor. Tatum finished with 50 points, eight rebounds, including 17-17 from the free-throw line, and five 3-point field goals.

Tatum, as a fourth-year player, is already somewhat of a crafty veteran it seems. When I watch him play, he shows no signs of being a young player whose indecisive or unsure. He knows he’s the man, he knows that either one on one or in the pick-and-roll, nobody can guard him.

Tatum scored the entire game at a high clip on but it went to another level in the second half, step-back 3’s, getting to the rim, and getting to the line, he was scoring the ball in every way possible in the halfcourt. Being able to score in the halfcourt against a set defense and being able to create your own shot is the name of the game in today’s nba. And that’s what Tatum does best.

With this win, the Celtics earned the 7th seed outright and will matchup against the Brooklyn Nets. That sounds like doom knowing how talented the Nets are. However, with the amount of injuries and missed games that the Nets have this season, I wouldn’t pencil them in the Eastern Conference Finals just yet, let alone the NBA Finals

I’d like to see Tatum and the Celtics give them a tough series. If they play the way they did in the second half of Tuesday night’s game against the Wizards, I give the Celtics a chance against anyone.
